This 52-page informational booklet summarizes data about landmarks, land comparison, population, agriculture, weather, history, and more in a highly digestible way. Thick, bold lines paired with round sans serif typography and bold colors intentionally appeal to a younger audience without appearing childish—making it suitable for both the young and old. The book stays cohesive without a highly limited color palette by pairing the colorful illustrations with white areas to balance cleanness and complexity. The motif of Taiwan’s national flower that is featured on the cover is used throughout the book to add contrast to the page numbers and as callouts for more niche facts in various sections. This book makes ingesting data fun by incorporating the illustrations into the charts. On the page titled “Population”, Taiwan’s flag stretches across two-thirds of the spread in a dimensional illustration that uses the movement of the flag’s bottom edge to dually represent the connection for the datapoints on the line graph.
